Question 1: Are masks required on campus?

Answer

If you wish to wear a mask on campus, you are encouraged and supported in your decision to do so, but masks are no longer required in common spaces including classrooms.

You may be requested to wear a mask in some settings on campus, such as but not limited to the Wellness Centre and other meeting/service spaces, or you may be requested by individuals with COVID-related concerns. Please have a mask available and be prepared to put it on when requested to do so.

Question 2: If I have to stay home due to respiratory illness, what do I do about my classes?

Answer

If you are registered for an in-person class do not come to campus. Staying home per Ontario guidelines for a respiratory illness counts as a permitted absence. Please check the academic calendar for more details about Tyndale’s Attendance Policy for your course, they can be found here: Undergraduate Studies Academic Calendar, Seminary Academic Calendar.

Undergraduate and Seminary Students - please note that if you are registered for a fully in-person class you will not be able to attend that class synchronously because fully in-person classes are not live streamed. You should arrange with the class instructor the best means to catch up on the work that you missed just as you would for any class absence.

DMin students - please note that if you are registered for a fully in-person class you will be expected to attend the class online. If you are not well enough to attend online you must arrange with the class instructor the best means to catch up on the work that you missed just as you would for any class absence.

BEd students - please contact your Program Office for specific guidance on what to do if you have to miss a class.
